Soochow University MBA takes the top three! | The 10th National Management Case Competition East China Competition concluded successfully at Soochow University

On September 22, 2024, the 10th National Management Case Elite Competition - East China 5 Region Promotion Competition was held at Soochow University. The competition was divided into two parts: pre-competition blind review and on-site competition. 10 teams from 6 institutions across the country competed on the same stage, using a variety of management theory models and analysis tools to analyze the competition cases in all aspects and multiple dimensions. After a fierce competition, Team 2 of Soochow University won the championship; Team 1 of Soochow University and Team 3 of Soochow University won the first runner-up; Team 1 of University of Science and Technology of China and Inner Mongolia University of Technology won the second runner-up.


The competition was based on the case study “Wa ‘New’ Weaving: How Ximeng Impression Helps Ethnic Minority BoPs to Realize Inclusive Innovation”, and 10 teams from Northeast Agricultural University, Inner Mongolia University of Technology, Ningbo University, Shenyang University, Soochow University, and China University of Science and Technology competed together to explore the essence of the management case study. Ten teams from Northeast Agricultural University, Inner Mongolia University of Technology, Ningbo University, Shenyang University, Soochow University and University of Science and Technology of China competed on the same stage to discuss the essence of management cases. The case competition was not only an academic competition, but also a good opportunity to learn more about and publicize China's non-legacy culture. Suzhou News reported on the event and delivered this academic feast to a wider audience.

On the day of the competition, the atmosphere was warm and solemn in Cunju Hall, Tianzhizhuang Campus of Soochow University. Mr. Liu Zhiming, the secretary of the Business School of Soochow University, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony, in which he warmly welcomed the judges and contestants who had come to participate in the competition and expressed his good wishes for the success of the competition. He encouraged all the participating teams to give their best in the competition and show their best condition.


The competition invited five heavyweight judges, including Professor Ye Chong from Fuzhou University, Professor Jiang Yushi from Southwest Jiaotong University, Professor Shi Shengping from Southwest University, Professor Lei Liang from Lanzhou University, and Zheng Bo, CEO of Maxdorf Standardization. They made professional and fair judgments on the planning content and on-site performance of the participating teams.

During the prize-giving session, the judges presented trophies and certificates to the winning teams in recognition of their outstanding performance in the competition.


This competition not only provides a platform for the participating students to show themselves and communicate and learn, but also promotes the academic exchanges and the collision of innovative thinking in management disciplines. Meanwhile, through the cases of this competition, the participants and the audience have a deeper understanding and knowledge of Chinese non-heritage culture, which further enhances the social influence of non-heritage culture. We expect more management elites to be born from here in the future, contributing wisdom and strength to the management discipline and enterprise practice in China, and also expect that the non-heritage culture will be paid more attention to and inherited by more people.
