From theory to practice is a necessary way to deepen knowledge. In the course of “Responsibility and Sustainable Management”, students have long had a preliminary understanding of corporate social responsibility, but the knowledge in books is always abstract. Under the leadership of Mr. Hu Yong, the students went into Soochow Securities to explore the practice of CSR.
The activity was warmly received and carefully guided by Mr. Tan Weizhong, an alumnus of the School of Business and the Deputy General Manager of Suzhou Industrial Park Central Business Department of Soochow Securities. The students took Soochow Securities as a vivid case study and gained a lot from the close integration of classroom knowledge with the reality of the enterprise.
Entering the investor education base of Soochow Securities, it not only shows the fruitful achievements of Soochow Securities in the construction of corporate ethics and social responsibility, but also lets students see, through a series of vivid cases and detailed data, how enterprises can actively fulfill their social responsibilities and achieve sustainable development while pursuing economic benefits.
From the public welfare program of investor education to the action of helping the disadvantaged groups in the society, Soochow Securities has interpreted the profound connotation of corporate ethics and social responsibility with practical actions, and has given a vivid practical lesson to the students.
During the visit trip, students were attracted by its unique cultural atmosphere. Led by alumnus Tan Weizhong, they visited the special exhibition area and financial science popularization area of Soochow Securities. The area not only displayed the development history and business achievements of Soochow Securities, but also gave the students a more intuitive understanding of the financial industry through interactive displays.
Alumni Tan Weizhong enthusiastically introduced the business model and philosophy of Soochow Securities, and shared their experience and insights of practicing social responsibility in the company. The students listened attentively and asked questions actively, and the atmosphere was warm.
Through the exchanges and interactions between the old and new alumni, students not only gained a deeper understanding of the corporate culture of Soochow Securities, but also felt the alumni's deep emotion towards their alma mater and their persistent pursuit of social responsibility.
At the end of the activity, students sat around with Mr. Hu Yong and Mr. Tan Weizhong and started a unique industry dialogue. The students put forward their confusion in career planning around various industry fields, such as long term rental apartment operation, urban renewal, high-end equipment manufacturing, private equity investment, commercial law practice and so on.
The collision of ideas from different industries made the students deeply realize that no matter which industry they are in, CSR is the core element of enterprise development, and they, as future business elites, will shoulder this responsibility in their respective fields.
The practical activity of entering Dong Wu Securities not only allowed the students to closely integrate what they learned in the classroom with the reality of the enterprise, but also let them feel the importance and far-reaching significance of corporate social responsibility in practice.
The successful practice of Soochow Securities set an example for the students and inspired them to actively practice social responsibility in their future study and work, and contribute to the sustainable development of the society.
